In 2017, we had dinner at Coasterra on San Diego. The food was outstanding, but the views of downtown and San Diego Bay were better.
2014’s banquet brought the NVMW to the San Diego Art Museum in Balboa Park. The reception was in the museum and dinner was in the Museum’s sculpture garden.
A trip to San Diego in March is just the thing remind you summer is coming. While you are here, stop by the zoo or spend some time at the beach.
Since the first workshop in 2009, NVMW has hosted 200 research presentations on persistent memory technologies from researchers at companies and universities around the world.
Each year, the NVMW hosts two poster sessions allowing researchers to showcase their latest work and attendees to ask questions and offer feedback.
The NVMW technical program features keynotes from industry leaders. Past keynotes have features technologists from Intel, Samsung, IBM, Rambus, SanDisk, NetApp, Toshiba, Western Digital, and others.
In 2012, NVMW took its banquet to the Birch Aquarium on the UCSD campus. It offers spectacular views of the sunset outside and spectacular views of sealife inside.
The NVMW attracts researchers from both academia and industry and provides a unique setting for discussion, formation of collaboration, and hearing about the latest developments in persistent memory technologies and systems. It’s also a great place to network and identify future employers and employees.
